Synopsis:
Steve Zissou, a sea-film amateur, has hard times. His partner was eaten by a shark, in addition Steve has problems with his own wife and some young man states that he is Zissou's son. Recent filming brought no success to Steve, he has troubles with money and with a pregnant reporter to whom he is attracted to. A revolt, pirates, a pursuit by shark and the bonds of fatherhood awaits him at the sea as the story unfolds.
