Synopsis:
In the branches of Axis, a tree rising 100 miles into the clouds, there is a village inhabited by human-like dwellers. One of them is Kaena (voiced by Kirsten Dunst), a young girl who dreams of the world with blue clear sky and plentiful fresh water. When Axis’s sap almost runs dry and it grows weak, it seems to Kaena that Axis is calling her for help. In defiance of her tribe's taboos the adventurous and rebellious Kaena starts on her journey beyond the confines of the village to seek help.
